On Saturday, January 12th, 1968, Yugoslav royalists gathered at the Central Depot in Bicester, England for the traditional Serbian Christmas Eve log-burning ceremony. The ceremony was attended by former King Peter of Yugoslavia, local community members, and Army and Ordnance Corps Commanders. A festooned oak branch was set up as an improvised altar for the open-air service adjacent to the blazing fire.
