On June 1, 1976, a deputation of three Queen’s Arms pub-goers from Littlemore, Oxford, are making a personal protest to Courage Central at their Reading office. The deputation is led by Mr Bob James, who was first sacked from his job as part-time barman and later barred from drinking on the premises. Accompanying Mr James are Mrs Sally Webb, a member of the ladies darts team, and Mr Russell Dean, a regular for seven years, who also claim to have been barred with no explanation given.
