On February 8th, 1985, a team of 14 fund-raisers, mainly Unipart workers from Cowley, completed a 1.200 yard Army assault course at Aldershot. After the successful run, a cheque for 541.79 was presented to the Adult Education Industrial Training Unit by Chris Roles, senior training adviser at Unipart. The money will be used to help train handicapped people. The Parachute Regiment kindly lent the group their assault course. And last week a cheque for 541.79 was handed over by Mr Chris Roles, senior training adviser at Unipart, to Mr Doug Clarke, man- ager of the Adult Education Industrial Training Unit. Part of the group which took part in the sponsored run had already raised funds for the unit by a parachute jump early in 1983. This time the Parachute Regiment lent them their assault course The money raised for the unit, which is at Brasenose Driftway, will go towards training handicapped people.
