Alison Lurie is an American writer who won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1985 for her book “Foreign Affairs”. She was born in Chicago in 1926 and studied at Radcliffe before working as a reader for Oxford University Press. Lurie published her first title, “Love and Friendship”, in 1962.
