On January 20th 2000, visitors to the Henley River and Rowing Museum explored the diverse collection of boats on display, from Canadian canoes and traditional skiffs to Saxon log boats dating from between 405 and 530 AD. The Rowing Gallery featured blades and oar looms, while Steven Redgrave’s Olympic medals were also on display. In addition, two Venetian boats were featured: a pupparin and a gondala.
