On May 13th 1957, Frank M. Worrell, a 32-year-old Barbados-born batsman in the West Indies cricket team, was photographed striking out during his team’s tour of England. Worrell is a right-handed batsman and left-arm medium-pace bowler, and is well experienced in British conditions, having played for Radcliffe in the Central Lancashire League from 1949 to 1953. He is the only player to have shared in two stands of over 500 with J.D.C. Goddard in 1943-44 and with C.L. Walcott in 1945-46, both against Trinidad.On May 13th 1957, Frank M.
